Navigating Through COVID-19
Please note that all WRHRC events that were planned for May, June, July and August (including the planned CKC Hunt Test on July 4 and 5), have been cancelled due to current COVID-19 health rules. Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, said Alberta’s 15-person ban on mass gatherings will apply to August 31st.
Since all of our Club events, volunteer opportunities, training and social events are clearly impacted by the current pandemic and the provincial health oriented gathering restrictions, the Board is challenged to safely provide these opportunities to Club members and competitors.
The WRHRC Board would like to thank all of the member event volunteers and hunt test judges that had stepped up to organize and judge at our originally planned 2020 events.
Our Club training grounds do however remain open to Club members. Please ensure you follow required public health practices while on club property at all times.
We are also considering organizing some fun Club member events in September if gathering and physical distancing restrictions ease by then.
Thank you, stay safe, stay positive, remember to connect with your friends and families remotely and regularly, and especially enjoy this time with your loved ones… human and canine!
